Wish us luck

Oh, boy! This promises to be a trying few days for us. Emerson is scheduled for both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy this Wednesday. So, without giving too many of the gory details, he started his meds yesterday to clear his little system. Did I mention that he started using the potty not too long ago? So, he is insistent that he should still use the potty when we much prefer the comfort of knowing he is in a diaper. I should note here that he still wears diapers/pull-ups at this point on a regular basis. We have to watch him though because he knows how to take them off.

On top of all that fun, he needs to go to an all clear liquid diet starting at noon tomorrow until his tests on Wednesday. (We will not know the time of that until sometime tomorrow.) It is going to be beyond horrendous as this child eats constantly!!!! I am going to have to figure out how to sneak food to the older three. Max and Sydney are usually famished after school. Veronica likes to have access to food constantly too. I am not sure what we are going to do about dinner tomorrow night!

Emerson tends to whine...ugh...when he is not getting his way. Should be fun! Wish us luck and say a little prayer...

Tadpoles Galore

Look at the picture below. Do you see all those black specks? Those are tadpoles in our pond (aka the mud hole)! I cannot even begin to guess how many are out there. This picture shows just a very, very small section of the pond.

Now, look at our sweet Sydney in the picture below. She is rescuing all the tadpoles that have been "beached". You can see them in the above picture on the left hand side on the sand. She never ceases to amaze us. One second she is pretending to be Kate Middleton during the royal wedding (and yes, Veronica was Pippa) and the next she is picking up tadpoles with her bare hands. She is such a well rounded child. Love her!!!!

Our weekend

We had a great weekend. We went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday to watch qualifying for the upcoming Indy 500 which is this Sunday. It never ceases to amaze us how fast the cars go!

On Sunday, we took the kids to the children's museum. They always have so much fun at that place! I may add pictures of that at some other point. I do not have access to them at this moment.

Our Newest Addition

She joined our family on April 27; but, of course, I am behind on blogging.

She came to us as "Carly". We call her "Carly Sue from Kalamazoo". She really is not from Kalamazoo; but, it is a fun little rhyme none the less. Isn't she just precious?!

"April Showers bring May flowers", really?!

Although this is absolutely adorable...

April showers around our home brings...

May raking!!!!

Disney pics- Day 5

This was an early morning; but, our ride to the airport made it a lot better. The thunder outside was barely heard over the cartoons playing on the tv. That in and of itself was worth it!

Here I am checking out our ride. :)

I am afraid that the children may have enjoyed this too much. Sorry kiddos...we are on our way back to reality. :)

Okay, Max got to live in his dream world a little while longer. Max really does want to be a pilot when he gets older for the military. So, this was an awesome opportunity for him to check out the cockpit while we were stuck at the gate for 3 hours due to the storms moving through the area.

I am pretty sure the co-pilot is not suppose to sit on the pilot's lap though. :)

Here are the other three trying to keep from being too bored during our wait for take off.

Disney pics- Day 4

We were off to the Magic Kingdom again. :) The first thing we did was have breakfast with Pooh and friends.

I think this is the only picture we have from breakfast with all four kiddos in the picture AND smiling. Look at that super big hug Jessie is getting from Veronica!!!!

Emerson is actually giving Woody a high-five.

Look...no hands! Can you see Veronica in the pink shirt with her hands stretched way up high?

Here is a "before" picture and following are the "after" pictures.

Max went with a less messy choice. He is a smart boy. :)

Sleepy or not sleepy? That is the question.

I know, I know. I still have not posted pictures from the rest of our trip to Disney. I will get to it. I just had to post about what Veronica told me today. It is just one of those cute little things that I will want to remember.

On our way home after picking her up from preschool, she was super quiet. I asked her if she was sleepy. She said, "No, I suck my thumb and twist my hair when I am tired AND when I want to and when I am not tired." Hmm, sounds to me like someone sucks her thumb and twists her hair pretty much all the time. It seems to me she covered it all with that statement. Oh, the orthodontist is going to love us. :)
