Hide-n-Seek

I know, I know...I have some serious back blogging to do and hopefully, I can get to that at some point. Besides wanting to "document" our last few months, I want to get caught up on all my bloggy friends! One of these days...

Until then, I could not help but blog about this as it was so funny. It is probably another one of those "you had to be there" moments. You will have to trust me that it was adorable.

We were on our way home after picking Emerson up from preschool (Yes, he goes to preschool now. More on that when I start back blogging.) when I heard Veronica and Emerson laughing in their car seats. I figured out that they were playing hide-n-seek...well, sort of. Seeing as how we were driving down the road and they were both fastened in their 5 point harness car seats, they could not get very far. One would cover his/her eyes, start counting, and then yell "Found you!" They would each take turns doing this. It was hilarious listening to them. They were cracking themselves up. Love it!!!!

God Sightings

Little Miss Veronica made me smile one day. She was telling me how it would be kind of silly to play hide-and-seek with God. She said after you count you would open your eyes and go "There you are. There you are. There you are. There you are." because God is everywhere. So cute!

We will never forget!

Ron and I are sitting here watching a show about September 11, 2001. It is hard to believe that it was 10 years ago. Watching these shows we realize that the wounds are still raw. We will never forget!

I was just drinking a cup of tea and on the tab is an appropriate bible verse for the day...

"And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20

Karate

A big congratulations to Ron, Max, and Sydney. They all earned their yellow belts this weekend!!!!

Our Annual Princess (and Little Prince) Day

As the boys (except for Emerson) headed off for more racing, the girls, Emerson and I enjoyed our annual day of whatever we want to do. This year we stayed home due to the girls feeling a little under the weather; but, we made the best of it!

We played games.

We ate yummy sandwiches that Sydney made and drank pop which is a treat around our house,

We watched TWO movies which again is a treat around our house. (We TRY to limit screen time to the recommended limit of two hours a day.)

We made yummy ice cream sundaes. (You guessed it...another treat.)

We decided to call them banana splits since we added slices of banana (That makes them sound healthier!) Above is Veronica's concoction. Now, doesn't that look healthy with all those bananas and look at all that dairy! Just ignore the sprinkles and cookie pieces. Ha, ha!

Do not worry...I did make Sydney use a spoon although this picture looks like I was really letting loose for the day!

Here a picture of my no-fat treat. No calories on Princess Day, right? right?! I have a cherry on top of mine. That counts as extra fruit!!!!

Even Evie and Una (Sydney's special friends) dressed up for the day.

I love Princess Day. When else do I walk around the house in an evening gown? Veronica was looking very pretty in her seashell sundress. Emerson was smart. He stayed in his pj's all day.

Sydney looked so pretty in her yellow dress and tiara.

Here are the littles posing for a picture.

Here are the lovey-dovey sisters all fancied up for the day...purses and everything!

Although we miss Daddy and Max, we have a wonderful time together and we know they are spending quality time together too. :)

Adoption Reunion

Our adoption agency had a reunion for all the families in our state who have already adopted or are at some stage within the process. It was fun to see all the beautiful children. Of course, here are some pictures of our favorite children...
We were so shocked by how our children played up on the stage in front of everyone. Granted nobody was necessarily watching them. It really was not a show. They were just up there playing. It is very uncharacteristic of them though. You would not catch me up there! (Wonder who they get it from?!)

They had many games to play...cornhole,

ping-pong,

air guitar (hee, hee), and much more.

After we left, we stopped to get ice cream before heading off to church. It was a fun family day!
